Route into the industry

There are many options within the Offshore Marine industry: for example working with self-propelled or stationary equipment or taking on a land-based position. For self-propelled equipment, both a nautical certificate (STCW 95), and a relevant secondary vocational degree (or higher) are required. For stationary equipment, affinity with working on the water and machinery, as well as an offshore marine background is recommended. For land-based jobs, experience in the offshore marine industry is required.
